Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need an autism diagnosis to receive services?

For ABA therapy to be covered by insurance, a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is typically required. If your child is in the process of being evaluated, we can help point you in the right direction. Contact us to discuss your child’s specific situation.

How many hours of therapy will my child need?

This depends on your child’s individual needs, goals, and insurance authorization. Following our initial assessment, our BCBA will recommend an appropriate number of hours per week. We work with families to find a schedule that fits everyone’s life.

Will I be involved in my child's therapy?

Absolutely — and we encourage it! Caregiver involvement is a core part of ABA therapy. We provide parent and caregiver training so you feel confident supporting your child’s goals every day, not just during sessions.

What age does Building Bridges serve?

We serve children ages 18 months through 12 years. Early intervention is especially powerful, so the sooner we can connect, the better — but its never too late to start.

How do I know if my child's therapist is qualified?

All therapy at Building Bridges is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) — the gold standard credential in the ABA field. Direct therapy is delivered by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who work under BCBA supervision. Your child’s care is always in qualified, caring hands.
